How does the Frazier bulk edit feature work on Frazier? 

The Frazier bulk edit feature is a good way to apply changes to multiple cue points and descriptions. This function is particularly useful if you need to offset the timecode for a selection or all of your descriptions.

Search & Replace

The suitcase became a bag? This is how you proceed if you want to correct several identical words in the manuscript.

  1. Click on the “list icon” in the right-hand navigation bar in the editor.
  2. Enter the word to be replaced in the text field.
  3. Activate the “batch processing” (pencil icon).
  4. Make sure that all text blocks are selected (ticked).
  5. Select the function “Search & Replace” at the bottom.
  6. Enter the word you want to replace.
  7. Click on the “document icon”.

Move timecodes

Sometimes it happens that you have to move all or individual timecodes.

  1. Click on the “list icon” in the right-hand navigation bar in the editor.
  2. Activate the “batch processing” (pencil icon).
  3. Make sure that all text blocks are selected (ticked).
  4. Select the function “Change timecode” at the bottom.
  5. Enter how much you want to move the text blocks.
  6. Click on the “Rewind” icon to reset all time blocks.
  7. Click on the “Fast-forward” icon to move all time blocks forward.

Example

You want to move all text blocks back 30 seconds because a trailer was cut in at the beginning?

  1. Enter “00:00:30.00” in the text field.
  2. Click on the “fast-forward” icon.
  3. The text blocks are moved back one after the other.
  4. The text blocks are updated one after the other.

Change voice

If you are working with subtitles that are to be read out later, it is worth working with 2 voices. In this case, you can change the voice for all or individual text blocks.

  1. Click on the “list icon” in the right-hand navigation bar in the editor.
  2. Activate the “batch processing” (pencil icon).
  3. Select all or individual text blocks.
  4. Set the function “Change voice” at the bottom.
  5. Select a voice.
  6. Click on the “Update” icon.

Delete selected

You don't need the last 10 text blocks any more? This is how you can delete them.

  1. Click on the “list icon” in the right-hand navigation bar in the editor.
  2. Activate the “batch processing” (pencil icon).
  3. Select all or individual text blocks.
  4. Set the function “Delete all” at the bottom.
  5. Enter “Delete all” to confirm.
  6. Click on the “Trash can icon”.

Adjust pronunciation

If you need to adjust the pronunciation of the word “Tschutscha” 10 times, then you are in the right place.

  1. Click on the “List-Icon” in the right navigation bar in the editor.
  2. Enter the word for which you want to change the pronunciation in the text field.
  3. Activate the “batch processing” (pencil icon).
  4. Make sure that all text blocks are selected (ticked).
  5. Select the function “Adjust pronunciation” at the bottom.
  6. Write the word the way it feels right 😉
  7. You can rehearse by clicking on the “play icon”.
  8. Click on the “Document icon” to change the pronunciation.
