Voice Manager
Frazier currently offers access to over 1,500 voices, which can quickly become overwhelming. To simplify this, you can create a collection of voices and use only this collection within a project.

A voice collection can be used to assign a unique voice to each person in the film. It can also be helpful when collaborating with external authors, as limiting the selection of voices helps avoid unexpected costs.
Creating a Voice Collection
In your profile, under the “Voice Output & Automated Mix” section, you will find the “Voice Management” area. Click on “Manage Voices” to go to the overview.
- Click “New Collection”.
- Enter a title for your collection.
- Activate the collection.
- Optional: Leave a short description of how it will be used.
- Click “Create”.
Note: How you organize your collections is entirely up to you. You can create a separate collection for each project, or use the same collection across different projects. If you do the latter, we recommend using a generic name such as “Subtitles + AD”.
Selecting Voices
Once you have created a collection, you can add voices to it. You can give the voices custom names—for example, to directly assign read-aloud subtitles to a specific person.
- Click “New Voice”.
- Enter a name to make it easier to identify the voice.
- Set the language.
- Select a voice.
- Optional: Enter some text to test the voice.
- Optional: Leave a short description of how it will be used.
- Click “Create”.
Please note that each synthetic voice can only appear once per collection. If you try to add the same voice twice (e.g., “de-DE-Standard-B” from Google), an error message will appear.
Set a Voice Collection for a Project
After creating your first collection and adding voices, the forms for creating and editing project settings will change. An additional “Voice Collection” option will appear.
Selecting a voice collection is optional, meaning you can decide for each project whether to use the standard selection or a custom voice collection.
Voice Collections in the Editor
OnOnce a voice collection is selected for a project, it will apply to all documents within that project! All invited authors will only have access to this collection. The editor will display the selected collection and the voices it contains instead of the standard selection.
A Note on Project Transfers
Important! Voice management is tied to your user account, as the available voices depend on your current subscription.
When colleagues work on your project, they can use your selected voice collection. However, as soon as you hand the project over to someone else, the voice collection for that project will be deactivated.
To maintain consistency, you can coordinate with your colleagues to create identical collections in their user accounts. This way, a collection can be reactivated after being handed over.
